prevacid does work well if you take the correct dosage. I took prevacid by prescription 30mgs and it work wonders on my reflux. Then I stopped taking it and it came back. Doctor put me on acipex, then my health insurance starting charging a 100 dolloar co pay. I started to take prevacid otc, but only took on pill 15mgs. the refux came back in a few days. I looked at the bottle and realized it was half of prescription strength and starting taking two pills. reflux improved after days and no problems since. its not unusual a drug that goes otc to have a lower dosage than when it was available by sript. so if it is not working for you, take two pills at once and you will be taking prescription strength dosage.

If you are experiencing some chronic intestinal-related discomfort, I recommend giving these Acidophilus Pearls a try. It's the same concept as that Dannon Activia yogurt but way more useful, because people with tummy trouble often have lactose/dairy problems and can't eat yogurt. I am something of a connoisseur of scalp scratchers. I've bought the solid copper ones (happy company, head trip) and the vibrating ones. Those don't really do the trick for me. I light that light, tingly feeling like something is crawling all over my head. The other scratchers I have tried have wires or 'fingers' that are just too thick and/or too rigid. With most, the wires are designed in such a way that I'd have to bend them in just the right way or could come close to hurting myself.
This one has thin, flexible, stainless wires with small plastic nibs at the tips. The wires are not adjustable, but it doesn't matter. I haven't wanted to adjust them. I think this item is simply wonderful; I purchased one at Bed Bath And Beyond and gave it away as a gift (stupid!), then I couldn't find another until I came here to Amazon (yay!).
Note: Unlike the picture, the stem or handle is a textured silver metal, not copper. Doesn't matter to me, though. Feels the same. Awesome.

After reading several of Bruce Fife's books (and they were wonderfully easy-to-read for the non-scientific type), I decided to give coconut oil a try to help with losing weight and getting my blood sugar under control. As a non-medication taking, recently diagnosed diabetic, I want to try whatever natural remedies I can find to stay off insulin and other diabetes meds, in addition to meds for cholesterol, etc. I tried taking a teaspoon or two with meals and a teaspoon btw meals and my blood sugar numbers were noticeably lower the same day. (Fife says the suggested dose is 3-4 tbs/day). The taste of this brand is fantastic, light and creamy with a delicious coconutty taste! I love coconut so I was able to eat it right from the jar, but I also tried it spread on a Wasa Crisp bread--WOW, what an easy way to get MCFAs into your diet! I will definitely be using this instead of any oils for all my cooking needs (except a little EVOO mixed together with this for salad dressing.) Also, I'm using on my skin and it feels really soft, plus you also get the internal benefits from using it on your skin! GREAT PRODUCT!

I've gone to wearing my hair "natural"--no chemical relaxers to straighten it. On advice from other African-American women who have also gone the natural route, I tried mixing coconut oil, unrefined shea butter, and aloe gel to use on my hair. The results are nothing short of miraculous! My hair is soft, shiny, and manageable. I use the braid-out/twist-out styling methods, and the resulting curls and spirals are absolutely beautiful.

This is a marvelous product with some interesting health benefits (google it up). You can use it in baking, frying, in sauces, for vegan raw pies, mix with chocolate for puddings, moisturize your hair or skin, soothe rough elbows, etc.

This melts really fast in a pan, so you don't need a high heat. I fry eggs in it, and the coconut taste is subtle. Any ethnic dish that requires sauteeing or saucing and can benefit from a fresh coconut flavor, this is useful. I've cooked meats in it, as well. If you hate the smell/taste of coconut, obviously, this is not for you.

This brand, Nutiva, is organic and virgin. It smells so good. And I have an old jar that I never finished (really big one), and nearly two years later, after sitting right by the stove, it still smells fresh, like Cuban coconut candy my mom used to make. Yes, solid and fresh and white and fragrant TWO YEARS LATER. This is a very stable product.

Heard about all the hype on bodybuilding forums regarding this product so I decided to try it 4 days ago. I'm not that sensitive to caffeine and stimulants, so I took 2 scoops on my first day (directions recommend 1-2 scoops). I noticed that not only was I more energetic throughout my workout, but I literally could not feel the pain/burn that you normally associate with weight lifting. That pulsating pain of muscle tearing was 95% diminished and gave me a HUGE ego/mental boost to want to do more repetitions. Since I've been taking this stuff (40mins prior to my workout), I've been cranking out 2-5 extra reps in almost every workout I've done and feeling like a BOSS when I finish up.

Not only that, but even when I consider doing an extra set of one or two particular workouts, I can sit there with the barbell/dumbell in my hands and think to myself "There's no way I can do another one.. my arms are jelly and I feel like I'm holding 500lbs". Getting past that mental block and just DOING IT is what makes this product a favorite for me. As soon as I lift the weights back up, I feel like I'm only half-way through my workout and have enough energy to do an entire extra set. The only problem is that since I don't feel the exhausting pain of the workout, my arms just end up being overworked and become limp after I've done more than my body can handle for that session.

This is DEFINITELY helping me to get ripped and I would HIGHLY recommend this product to anyone who ever thinks about cutting their workout session short on any one day - you will seriously feel like a rhinoceros when you finish. All-in-all, this product deserves 6/5 stars. Love it.

I bought this because it has amazing reviews. I started with just one a day. It did give me a little edge working out, I ran farther and sweat a lot more. But when I started taking two I couldn't think! It ended up making me feel like I was drunk, disconnected and unable to process any information. With one pill I did feel a little loopy but two and I cant even read a newspaper. I lost maybe 4 pounds in a month. Worked out 3-4 times a wk and ate healthy. Even cut out drinking to help with the weight loss but it didn't help. I am going to have to say try it but be careful.

Astroglide has really made a name for itself since its introduction in 1991, and it is now one of the top-selling personal lubricants. Well, it's easy to see why! Astroglide is a water-based lubricant, which means that it is friendly to your body, your toys and your condoms, and it is easy to clean up.

Also, some lubricants I have run across have a very odd or bitter taste, which can be distracting during one-on-one time, but Astroglide has a bittersweet taste that, while not great, is definitely not bad. So, if you want a great water-based lube, then join the throng, and get Astroglide! I highly recommend it!!

FYI: In general, there are three types of lubricants and each has its pros and cons. Water-based lubes are easy to cleanup and are unlikely to cause yeast infections, but on the down side they do need to be renewed every half hour or less due to drying. Oil-based lubes tend to have maximum slipperiness and last longest, but can lead to yeast infections and tend to break down latex condoms and toys quite quickly. Silicone-based lubes fall in between these two, being slicker and longer lasting than water-based lubes, but they do require longer clean up times, can stain sheets and clothing, and will eventually break down silicone toys.

My milk supply began to decrease significantly after I started back to work (my son was about six month's old at this time). I took -- and still take, 3 tablets of fenugreek and blessed thistle each per day at least twice a day. If I am not able to pump, I add another round of the herbs and let my son nurse more, to keep my milk supply going strong. This is a wonderful blessing to know that my milk supply can easily be reestablished, if stress, schedule or other factors inhibit our desire to feed the old fashion way! Five stars for fenugreek (and blessed thistle, too!) As a side note, the lactation nurses have told me, that these herbs do lower your blood sugar, so they should be taken with food. I say that from experience. All in all, it more than met my expectations.

I had to decrease my baby's feedings when I had to return to work 8 weeks postpartum. Eventually, my hectic schedule and numerous illnesses made me stop. My son is now 3 months and I have been feeling incredibly guilty about stopping, so I'm attempting to relactate. I only had about 2 drops of milk from each side, but after almost a week of Fenugreek (9 pills a day), I'm noticing more droplets and an occasional squirt. I find that incredibly impressive. I've been using the Braun Oral-B electric toothbrush for the last 10+ years. Usually, I buy the regular, round Flexisoft brush heads. The last time I tried to purchase them, however, the store was out of stock. But they did have these, and at a significantly lower price compared to the Flexisofts, so I decided to give them a try.

They work well. They deliver that nice, absolutely clean feeling that we all love and expect from our Oral-B's. In this regard, they are at least the equivalent of the Flexisofts, and they may even be slightly superior.

Braun embeds 4 little rubber "paddles" into the brush head to, according to them, get between the teeth giving the same benefit as Dental Floss. I can not detect any "flossing" from the brush, but that would be difficult to assess. It may be that the "paddles" do get between teeth more effectively than the regular bristles, but only your dentist would be able to tell. They cause no discomfort. The brushing feels slightly different, but not unpleasant.

The chief drawback, as far as I am concerned, is that the brush head has been enlarged to accommodate the flossers. Rather than being circular, like the regular heads, it is an oval. The width is the same, but the height is about half again as large. I think that one of the Oral-B's great strengths is that the small heads can be maneuvered in such a way that you can clean every surface of every tooth. That is slightly (but only slightly) compromised here because of the larger size.

When I need to replace these, I will look for the regular Oral-B Flexisoft replacement heads. In my opinion, those are the best. But if I can't find them, I would not hesitate to buy these again.

I purchased this along with a new electro massage kit. This is a tiny bottle containing mostly isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol. If you read some other reviews you'll see complaints it douses to much solution on the skin. In my case it barely gets my skin wet no matter how hard I shake the bottle. Wetting a rag with clean water will do a much better job, but if you want the skin clean to remove natural grease/oil then just buy some rubbing alcohol from your local drugstore and save your money.

Performing a Test
The Clearblue monitor is easy to use. To perform a test simply switch on the monitor every morning within your testing window and before you go to the bathroom. On the mornings when the monitor requires further information about your hormone levels, a test will be required. Tests must be performed with the first urine of the day. First remove the test stick from its protective foil wrapper and use immediately. Hold the test stick pointing downwards in your urine stream for only three seconds. This is long enough to ensure the sampling end is sufficiently wet. Keep the test stick pointing downwards, take the cap off the handle, and place it over the wet end of the test stick.

You will see a red light flashing in the test stick slot. This is the monitor checking to see if the slot is ready to receive the test stick. You should not place the test stick into the slot until the red light has gone out. Holding the test stick by the cap with cut corner pointing downwards, insert it into the slot. Push the test stick down until it lies flat and clicks in place. Once you've correctly inserted the test stick, the display will flash the test stick symbol for about five minutes while the monitor reads and interprets the information in your urine. At the end of five minutes the monitor will ask you to remove the test stick which should be thrown away. Your fertility status will then be displayed. It's that easy.

This product is also not the "most cost-effective". There are plenty of other whey products out there that are much much cheaper and have just as much protein content, but they all pretty much taste like doo doo. What's the point in torturing yourself to save a few bucks? Cost is definitely an important factor, but not the most important.

Apart from all of the hype and apart from all of the hate, I would say that I really do like this product. It tasted a bit gross with just plain water, but when I added it to a cup of enriched soymilk, I couldn't tell the difference between it and a regular kid's chocolate milk shake. That is amazing. And this product did mix pretty well. I usually have problems with that when it comes to powdered shakes and it's always great when you can get a shake that doesn't just sit on the bottom of the cup and cement while everything else just floats to the top. I even added a serving of Benefiber fiber supplement, and it still didn't clump up.

I'm not sure what people are expecting a foot bath to do..let alone one that cost only $26 and was delivered for free. Quite frankly, I'd like to see what a $100+ foot bath would do, but I certainly won't be paying that much to find out!
This does everything I would want it to do:
It's lightweight, yet sturdy; has a nice comfortable feel and fit to its design; is a name brand; has easy to operate touch toe controls (if desired); the bumpy bottom felt good as I rubbed my feet on them back and forth; and even the little roller attachment on top felt good and was fun to use. What's not to love?
I heated a pot of water on the stove to just the right temperature and carried it over to the foot bath. I had already put a chair and ottoman (with drinks and remotes!) in place and was ready to watch TV.
At first, I plugged it in to see what that would do and found that it was noisy and really didn't do anything in particular, so I turned it off and unplugged it and enjoyed it much better. I choose to regard that as just an 'option'.
Because I heated the water, it stayed PLENTY hot for the whole show, and as I put in Avon's Foot Works Conditioning Foot Soak in my water, it was lovely!
I don't know why one reviewer said it didn't hold enough water - as mine was more than enough.
And emptying was no issue either - carried it to the sink and dumped it. Set it in the dishdrainer and it dried out in no time. I'm glad I bought it and think you'll enjoy it too. Hope so.

I have been a theracane user for 8 years now and was surprised to come across this on Amazon. I cannot say enough good things about this product. It's truly amazing to use when you have sore back and shoulder muscles. Although I don't use this daily, there are times when I get such severe neck and shoulder pain that I can't imagine being without this great tool. I would say the most useful way to use this is to apply pressure to certain points on your back, neck, and shoulders and you will find quick relief. Be sure to not be overzealous in use or you could end up very sore with more pain than you started with. I just ordered the instructional dvd Official Thera Cane Instructional DVD and hope to try more products by this company in the near future.

I am so glad to have found this product! I used to sweat all the time (no matter if it was hot or cold, summer or winter) and it was so embarrassing to walk around with sopping wet armpits all the time! I tried the "Crystal Body Deodorant" figuring if I'm going to sweat I might as well just use a natural deodorant so my shirts don't get ruined as well from the antiperspirant.

Unfortunately I'm a really active guy so after a few days I felt like I was stinking something fierce!! It just didn't work for me. Upon researching new deodorants I stumbled upon a message board/forum and a girl recommended this. I haven't broke a sweat one day since using this (even in hot weather) and it's great because I put it on at night, take a shower the next morning and then apply a deodorant only (without the antiperspirant) and it doesn't stain my shirts! Now every time I see someone sweating excessively I recommend this to them! I'm glad I found this...it's definitely worth the price! I usually buy the four pack.
